Announcing Our Free Society Fellowship

Young Voices is beyond excited to announce a brand new program called:

The Free Society Fellowship

Over the course of five-months, a select group of Advocates will be engaged on how to use their writing and platform to defend the principles of a free society from the growing threat of illiberal populism, especially the threat manifested by the alt-right in the America.

Ten Advocates were selected to pilot this new fellowship based on their exceptional talent and commitment to Young Voices mission. You can find out more about them below:

3 Reasons to Support Young Voices on #GivingTuesday

Today is Giving Tuesday, which means that your inbox is probably flooded with emails from lots of great causes asking for a contribution. I’ll be honest: this is another ask. So, let’s cut to the chase. Here’s three reasons to consider supporting Young Voices —

REASON #1: We are helping drive the conversation.
From the New York Times to the Washington Post, the media are responding to Young Voices articles. We’re helping change the conversation from collectivism to liberty by presenting a youthful face to old media giants.

REASON #2: We punch above our weight.
Young Voices’ annual budget is only $250k — fairly modest in the nonprofit world. Yet, operating with limited resources, Young Voices’ network of 60+ writers has published 208 op-eds and made 32 TV/radio appearances over the past six months. That’s an average of two media hits per weekday!

REASON #3: We’re making an impact on young professionals’ careers.
Young Voices has a network of 200 alumni — young professionals who we’ve helped with media training, op-ed placement, and TV/radio appearances. Many of these individuals have moved on to make impressive careers as policy analysts, executive directors, and even professors. Here’s just one endorsement from Jason Russell, a Young Voices alumnus who now manages the Washington Examiner‘s opinion section:

“Young Voices was essential in kickstarting my journalism career. From developing my writing skills to the extra exposure, I wouldn’t be where I am today without the help of Young Voices. As the program grows, I’m impressed by what Young Voices advocates are doing to spread liberty in the U.S. and around the world.”

Your contribution on Giving Tuesday can help Young Voices impact more young writers’ future like Jason’s. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today to help Young Voices make liberty mainstream.

Support Young Voices With AmazonSmile

If you’re like me, you’ll be doing most of your Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping on Amazon. Before you click that check-out button, I want to bring to your attention an easy way to support Young Voices while going about your business.

By choosing Young Voices as your charity on AmazonSmile, a small portion of your purchases will be donated to help fund our growing network of pro-liberty writers.

Here’s how it works in three easy steps:

1. Go to This step is simple but important! Only purchases made on the AmazonSmile subdomain will be counted for charity.

2. Select Young Voices as the nonprofit you’d like to support. Don’t get distracted by all the bells and whistles. Search for “Young Voices”….
…and make sure to select the group based in Washington, DC! That’s us!

3. Go about your shopping per usual. Yes, that’s it! Once you select Young Voices as your charity on AmazonSmile, 0.5% of the price of each purchase will be donated to us from the AmazonSmile Foundation.

0.5% may not sound like a lot, but it sure adds up… especially when multiple supporters like you do it! This season, I hope you can give the gift of liberty to our growing network of pro-liberty writers around the world.
